Почему отпуск не восстанавливает: rest vs restoration
Rest ≠ restoration
Rest is the cessation of load. Restoration is an active physiological process: switching from sympathetic to parasympathetic, lowering cortisol, restoring HRV. The first happens by itself, the second only under specific conditions.
A typical founder vacation: same email, same messengers, new background. The nervous system stays in fight-or-flight — just on a beach. Two weeks pass, and fatigue returns on the first working day.
Three conditions of restoration
First — sensory detox: reducing information load. The nervous system does not distinguish “important” from “unimportant” signals. Pilot-program rule: one day without news and email lowers the stress index more than a week of “soft” background.
Second — the body as the entry point: breath, movement, sound and temperature switch the nervous system faster than “talking yourself into relaxing”. Third — measurability: without before/after readings you cannot know whether you actually recovered.
How a restoration program works
Burnout Prevention programs on Aura Farming follow a protocol: VQ and HRV baseline → 3–7 days of zone-matched practices (Dao Yin, breathwork, sound journeys) → a closing measurement. The delta is visible in numbers.
The minimal format is 3 days in Ubud: jungle silence, circadian sleep, two practices a day. It is not a “better vacation” — it is a different physiological task.
